Teacher-Student Relationships in Medical Education: Boundary Considerations
At the conclusion, the participants should be able to:
1)DESCRIBE the basis for appropriate boundaries in teacher-students relations in the medical education settings; 2)DESCRIBE standards that govern appropriate faculty-student relationships; 3)DESCRIBE the individual and collective harm that can result from crossing boundaries with students; 4)LIST factors that can put faculty and students at risk for crossing boundaries; 5)STATE guidelines for fostering healthy faculty-student relationships. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
