Using Human Neural Stem Cells as a Potential Therapy for Intractable Epilepsy
At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) DESCRIBE some of the circuit abnormalities that give rise to epilepsy; 2) DESCRIBE how neural stem cells may be acquired from adult humans; 3) DESCRIBE how human neural stem cells behave when transplanted into immature rodent brain. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
