Diabetes
At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) DESCRIBE the epidemiology of diabetes; 2) IDENTIFY the causes of mortality amongst patients with diabetes; 3) EXPLAIN the risk factors for getting diabetes; 4) DESCRIBE hemoglobin A1c goals; 5) REVIEW medications to treat diabetes; 6) REVIEW medications to treat complications of diabetes; 7) DISCUSS the screening for diabetic foot complications; 8) DISCUSS the resources for seniors with Type 2 diabetes. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
