Fall Risk and Fall Prevention
Location: People's Home Health
At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) DIFFERENTIATE between intrinsic and extrinsic risk factors predisposing to falls; 2) IDENTIFY relevant information from a history and physical examination of an older adult that has fallen, and associate it to an individualized patient care plan; 3) IDENTIFY treatable risk factors in the elderly population and measures that can be taken to prevent fall occurrence and injury.
