DESCRIPTION:A comprehensive course explaining the value that verification and validation measures bring to a busy clinic. The extra time it takes to complete verification and validation measures on the front end\, can actually save the clinician a significant amount of time and money later on. With the use of trained support staff to assist with these procedures\, you can free up time for your clinicians to engage in more revenue generating activities. As patients obtain devices from other sources\, including directly from hearing aid manufacturers\, it will become more and more important for clinics to itemize and unbundle their services. Performing verification and validation measures will help to set clinics apart\, prepare clinicians for working with patients who have obtained their devices elsewhere\, and be a revenue generating stream beyond just offering hearing aids for sale. Verification and validation have long been touted as “best practice” in guidelines set forth by national organizations such as AAA\, and ASHA. With consumers and patients becoming increasingly aware of these issues due to grassroots education efforts\, and internet access\, we must elevate ourselves as clinicians\, and our practices as centers for Evidence Based Patient Centered Care.
