This will be an active discussion focused on successful teaching strategies that participants have learned in their practice. Topics include: Giving the student an orientation Giving feedback asking questions Evaluating the student Teaching effectively while maintaining patient flow. Determining and teaching to the level of the student. Patient Selection.Objectives: 1.Describe characteristics of effective clinical teachers. 2.Acquire ideas for clinical teaching from a panel of peer teacher colleagues. 3.Specify something they will try or improve upon by using ideas presented by the peer panel. 4.Reflect on their teaching as a way to facilitate continuous teaching effectiveness.
