Introduction to Clinical Teaching I & II

At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:

1) DESCRIBE principles of adult learning and explain how they can be incorporated into the teaching process by preceptors; 2) LIST characteristics of effective clinical teachers you want to exemplify; 3) IDENTIFY syllabus components and cite specific examples of how students will accomplish learning objectives; 4) DESCRIBE the meaning of "collaborative learning environment"; 5) EXPLAIN the ARCH Model; 6) EXPLAIN the feedback of role-plays; 7) DESCRIBE the 5-Microskills Model; 8) DESCRIBE a teaching/learning environment in which metacognition is enhanced. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
