Selecting the Best Evidence-Based Medicine Resources
At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) DEFINE evidence based medicine and the "Evidence Based Medicine Process"; 2) EMPHASIZE incorporating patient values, clinical experience and current best research in determining a plan of care for the patient; 3) CONSTRUCT a Clinical Question for an evidence based medicine search; 4) DESCRIBE levels of evidence and strength of evidence; 5) DESCRIBE the concept of drilling down to quickly find the best answers to clinical questions; 6) RELATE the practice of EBM to lifelong learning; 7) DESCRIBE the major evidence based medicine databases and how to use the tools available for searching for information.
