Generational Differences: Implications for Teachers and Learners
At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) RECOGNIZE environmental, cultural, and social forces that affect generational differences; 2) DESCRIBE 2 inter generational differences/tensions and how they manifest in education and the work place; 3) EXPLAIN how knowledge of generational differences can be used to enhance teaching and learning; 4) ANSWER the question: how can faculty and students work together to implement learning strategies that correct impediments to professional practice but encourage strengths; 5) IDENTIFY 1-2 tips on teaching and guiding contemporary learners. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
