

At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) DESCRIBE the mission of FSUCOM and the meaning of key terms within the mission statement; 2) DESCRIBE in broad terms the FSUCOM curriculum and the competency areas on which it is based; 3) BE FAMILIAR with your respective syllabus and the learning requirements / activities / objectives within the syllabus; 4) DESCRIBE the administrative structure of the regional campus and the roles of the regional dean and clerkship directors; 5) DESCRIBE characteristics of the students as they begin the clinical learning process; 6) DESCRIBE the structure of their clerkship in terms of when the student will be in the learning setting, what the student will be doing, what the clinical teacher will be doing, etc.; 7) DESCRIBE strategies for integrating the student into the patient care setting; 8) DESCRIBE the role of staff in the educational process.
